How long does custom software take to build?
A focused internal tool is typically four to eight weeks. A platform with multiple user roles, integrations and a mobile app runs three to six months. The variable is rarely engineering speed — it is how quickly decisions get made and edge cases surface.
Should I build custom software or buy off-the-shelf?
Buy when your process is ordinary and a product already models it well. Build when the process is your advantage, when you are paying for seats you do not use, or when the workarounds around a product have become the actual system.
Who owns the code?
You do. Source lives in your repository, deployed to infrastructure in your name. You can take it to another team at any point without asking us for anything.
